The new division will be led by Director of Operations Marc Finch and a team of executives with more than 40 years of experience in development and construction, along with expertise in building large-scale greenhouses and hydroponic farms.
“We are proud to launch this new division, which resulted from a demand within the emerging locally grown vegetable and cannabis industries,” said Mark Gemignani, president of Dominion Builders. “DominionAG will offer clients a complete design-build solution that will quickly translate concept to reality.”
“DominionAG has a promising future given the cultivation and greenhouse revolution taking place across the country,” said Gemignani. “There is a national surge in consumer demand for locally grown produce as well as medical marijuana. We have taken a leading position within these rapidly growing supply chains.”
Dominion’s latest project included BrightFarms’ Chicagoland Greenhouse, a 177,441-square-foot hydroponic farm, which is approximately 80 miles west of Chicago. The greenhouse produces approximately one million pounds of produce per year including baby greens and tomatoes.
