West Elm and the ASPCA Debut Collection of Gifts That Give Back

Proceeds from 2016 Holiday Collection and Social Media Campaign Benefit the ASPCA’s National Programs and Services

BROOKLYN, N.Y.--()--West Elm today debuted its 2016 holiday collection of kitchen textiles and ornaments in support of the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®). The eight piece collection of novelty tea towels and felt ornaments features caricatures of four social media famous pets: “Sir Charles Barkley” (@barkleysircharles), “Lionel the Hedgehog” (@lionelthehog), “Brimley the Cat” (@brimleycat) and buddies “Priscilla and Poppleton the Pigs” (@prissy_pig). For every collection product purchased, West Elm will donate $1 to support the ASPCA and help pets in need, with a minimum donation of $20,000 through January 31, 2017.

“Our collection is designed to support the many programs and services of the ASPCA, and help bring joy to animals in need,” said Nancy Tsuei, West Elm senior vice president of merchandising. “We are as delighted to celebrate the holidays with our pets as our customers are about sharing photos of their furry loved ones on social media.”

On November 10, West Elm stores nationwide will celebrate the ASPCA collaboration by inviting shoppers and supporters to take an in-store holiday photo with their family and pets from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. For every photo taken in a participating store on that date, then shared on social media and tagged using #westelmxaspca, West Elm will donate one additional dollar to the ASPCA, up to $5,000. Participants will also receive 20 percent off their next minted.com order for personalized holiday cards.

Instagram pet celebrities from the West Elm and the ASPCA collection will also make special appearances at select West Elm stores during the November 10 event including:
