WAREHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Smithers Viscient, a global contract research organization (CRO), announced that it is appointing Dr. Peter Stchur to the role of North American Chemistry Director. Dr. Stchur comes to Smithers Viscient after spending 13 years with DuPont split between DuPont Chemical Solutions and DuPont Crop Protection. He replaces Dr. Paul Reibach who will now serve as Smithers Viscient Chemistry Technical Director.

Most recently, Stchur served as Manager, Environmental & Biological Sciences for DuPont Crop Protection where he also served on the company’s research and development integration team. Stchur received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Wilkes University and his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Connecticut.
Dr. Reibach, in his role as Chemistry Technical Director, will oversee the execution of large and complex programs, service line startups and special projects. Additionally, he will provide guidance for the departmental directors representing each of Smithers Viscient’s service divisions, while focusing on chemistry, environmental fate and metabolism. Dr. Reibach received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and his Ph.D. in Plant Physiology from Texas A&M University.
