Wild Ginger Restaurant Expands, Introducing Two New Wild Ginger Kitchen Locations

Local Asian fine-dining legacy grows, showcasing healthy “fast-casual” offerings

SEATTLE--()--Wild Ginger Restaurant is excited to announce the expansion of its fast casual dining concept Wild Ginger Kitchen to multiple locations opening this month. Building on the legacy and heritage of Wild Ginger, owners Rick and Ann Yoder are introducing the first new locations of Wild Ginger Kitchen at Bellevue’s new 365 by Whole Foods Market™ in Bellevue Square and Swedish Medical Center’s First Hill campus.

Wild Ginger has provided an unmatched Asian fine dining experience to Seattle and downtown Bellevue for over two decades, and Wild Ginger Kitchen will expand this tradition of quality, creativity and passion. Wild Ginger Kitchen will offer the same diverse, fresh Asian flavors in an accessible format for families and individuals on the go. Customers can get healthy, flavorful dishes, including salads, curries, noodles, snacks and cold pressed juices all for around $10/meal.

“Over the years, our Wild Ginger Group has evolved into a sort of lifestyle brand with our shows at the Triple Door and Musicquarium Lounge along with our convenient lunch counter and Wild Ginger restaurants. We really wanted to continue on with this idea by reaching people in their everyday lives. We have many guests tell us that they celebrate special occasions at Wild Ginger and we love that, but Asian cuisine is healthy and versatile; it’s not restricted to just fine dining. We want to reach families at grocery stores and be where working individuals take their lunch breaks,” said owner Rick Yoder.

Wild Ginger Kitchen’s 365 by Whole Foods Market Bellevue Square location is a part of the grocer’s Friends of 365 partner program. This location, formally opening October 27, will feature a seasonal menu where customers can choose from a selection of rice or noodles, and made-to-order hot entrees made with local produce. Menu items will include authentic and traditional dishes like Malaysian chicken curry with sticky rice, slow cooked beef in coconut sauce, seasonal vegetarian Thai curry with rice cakes, spicy green mango salad, bahn mi sandwiches, house made Sichuan noodles and more.

Swedish Hospital’s Wild Ginger Kitchen will include healthy grab-and-go prepared meals for hospital visitors and staff, offering a rotating selection of salads, soups, entrees, and sides, as well as a prepared choice menu item by Wild Ginger chef de cuisine Ashley Santo Domingo.

The official grand opening will be held Thursday, October 27 at 365 by Whole Foods Market in the old JCPenney building at the south end of Bellevue Square and is free and open to the public. Activities include a traditional celebratory Southeast Asian Lion Dance at 12:15 p.m. as well as food samplings, giveaways and cooking demonstrations.
