CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company, the industry’s largest manufacturer of refrigerated trailers and a leading manufacturer of dry freight vans, flatbeds, and Tautliner® curtainsided trailers is pleased to announce that Valley Equipment, Ltd. has opened a new full service dealer location in Salisbury, New Brunswick, Canada.
“We broke ground on our new facility in Salisbury last September, and it replaces the Moncton location,” said Peter Cook, President of Valley Equipment. “We’ve talked about expanding our services in the Moncton area for years, and we chose Salisbury because it’s the hub of the Maritime Provinces. Our new location is across the street from the busiest truck stop in New Brunswick, just before the provincial highway scales. We have made a large area available for trailer storage and parking.”
The new Salisbury facility currently employs 4 people and will soon add 6 more now that the new location has opened. “Our plan is to increase the number of personnel to upwards of 20 within a few months,” added Mr. Cook.
Valley Equipment began in 1965 and the Cook family got involved with them in 1970, becoming sole owners in 1978. In 1989 they became a full-service Utility Trailer dealer. “Today the third generation is getting involved. Two of the boys are working full-time in the business and two part-time while going to school,” added Cook.
The new full-service facility is situated on over 10 acres of land, and is located at 29 Silver Fox Drive, Salisbury, NB E4J-OA9. It’s one block north of Highway 2, off of the Fredericton Road exit. The expanded facility has a 3,000 sq. ft. parts warehouse, 5,000 sq. ft. office and a 12,500 sq. ft. service department. When fully operational, there will be 8 service bays opened, and will open for two shifts when needed.
