LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A.M. Best will host its 2016 Insurance Market Briefing–Europe & Methodology Review Seminar on Wednesday, 16 November, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. (GMT) at ETC Venues St. Paul’s in London, United Kingdom.
At this annual briefing, A.M. Best rating analysts and industry experts will discuss the impact of current economic conditions and rating trends for (re)insurers in key segments of the European (re)insurance sector and the London market. The keynote speaker for this year’s conference is Andrew Kendrick, senior vice president, Chubb Group and regional president, Europe.
Des Potter, managing director, GC Securities (EMEA) will join Stefan Holzberger, chief rating officer, A.M. Best, on a reinsurance panel discussion, which will examine current industry trends, including the ongoing impact of alternative capital/insurance-linked securities. The panel will be chaired by Mark Geoghegan, managing director at The Insurance Insider.
At the Methodology Review Seminar, a series of sessions will be offered that explore the latest updates to rating criteria and provide participants with a better understanding of the proposed modifications to Best’s Credit Rating Methodology, including ongoing changes to the proprietary Best’s Capital Adequacy Ratio model.
