Stella Technology Supports Strategic Health Information Exchange Collaborative (SHIEC) Annual Conference as Key Sponsor

Interoperability leader to discuss its work with HIEs on addressing the clinical data quality pain point

SAN JOSE, Calif.--()--Stella Technology, the leading provider of integration and collaboration solutions, today announced their participation at the 2016 Strategic Health Information Exchange Collaborative (SHIEC) Annual Conference.

In collaboration with the HIE User Group (HUG), the SHIEC annual conference will be held in Scottsdale, Arizona September 18-21, 2016. The 2nd annual conference for the national association of regional and community HIEs brings together more 200 attendees, including healthcare leaders from across the nation’s 40+ HIEs for 3 days of collaboration and networking, and to discuss best practices and engage in open and informative conversations with industry leaders.

The keynote address will be delivered by Jon White, MD, Deputy National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, Dept. of Health & Human Services. During this year’s conference and annual meeting, the program includes general and breakout sessions that will feature more than 50 speakers, subject matter experts and national thought leaders addressing the major industry, business, and technology related issues faced by HIEs and healthcare stakeholders today.

“We are pleased to have Stella Technology as the Platinum Sponsor for the SHIEC Annual Conference. Stella Technology and our other sponsors make this national conference of HIEs possible,” said Dick Thompson, chairman of the SHIEC Board. “As one of the leading subject matter experts on clinical data integration, the Stella team will undoubtedly provide meaningful insights to many of the issues we face as HIE organizations.”

“Stella Technology has collaborated with a number of the SHIEC member organizations over the past two decades. We are very excited to have partnered with the SHIEC once again, and to participate at this year’s conference as a Platinum Sponsor,” said Lalo Valdez, CEO and President, Stella Technology. “The conference is a one-of-its-kind venue that brings together accomplished healthcare executives and leaders who are focused on addressing health IT interoperability challenges.”

With the shift to value-based payments, healthcare providers are under increased pressure to measure and demonstrate how they are improving the health of their patient populations. As the national interoperability conversation evolves from moving data to its actual content, leading HIE organizations will discuss use cases on how to address the pervasive challenges around the quality of clinical data they are exchanging – one of a number of hot topics that will be covered at the conference.

Stella’s team of technology experts will demonstrate its latest innovation, the Inspector of Quality Healthcare Data (iQHD), which ensures that quality outcome measurements for programs such as DSRIP, HEDIS, the upcoming MACRA regulations and other outcomes reporting needs are done based on data that is complete, clinically meaningful and trustworthy – resulting in higher revenues for care delivery organizations.
