KINDERHOOK, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kinderhook Bank Corp., (OTCQB:NUBK) the holding company for The National Union Bank of Kinderhook, has appointed Carl A. Florio to the Board of Directors of the holding company and the Bank, according to Board Chairman, Scott D. Shallo.
“Carl Florio knows the financial services industry in our markets and with his years of service on bank boards and as a retired banking Regional President, Carl will bring a great deal of industry experience and knowledge to our Board of Directors,” said Shallo.
Florio is currently a Director of American Bio Medica Corporation and is a board member of the Hudson River Bank & Trust Foundation, State University of New York at Albany Foundation, Columbia Children's Center, and AAA Hudson Valley. He has been Vice Chairman of Paradigm Capital Management, Inc. since 2008.
Florio was President and Chief Executive Officer of Hudson River Bank & Trust beginning in 1995 and served as the Regional President upon completion of the merger between Hudson River Bancorp, Inc. and First Niagara Financial Group in 2005. He is a former board member of the University at Albany School of Business Advisory Council, Hudson Development Corp., Columbia-Greene Community College Foundation, Fuller Road Management, WMHT, Community Bankers Association, Hudson River Bancorp, Inc., First Niagara Financial Group, Inc. and Federal Home Loan Bank of New York.
Prior to his career in banking, Florio was a certified public accountant in private practice for almost 20 years. He received his B.S. in Accounting from the University at Albany in 1971. He currently resides in Clifton Park, NY.
