NEW ORLEANS--()--The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) and Whitney Bank will award New Orleans nonprofit affordable housing developer Home by Hand $8,000 in Partnership Grant Program (PGP) grant funds. Representatives from FHLB Dallas, Whitney Bank, and Home by Hand will attend a check presentation, which will take place Wednesday, August 24 at 11:00 a.m. at 6041 Vermillion Boulevard, New Orleans, Louisiana 70122. Presented annually, PGP grants are awarded to community-based organizations. The grants may be used for research, organizational capacity-building, grant- and funding-application assistance, or contractual services.

Home by Hand will use the funds to support its operations, focusing their efforts on providing affordable housing to low- to moderate-income families whose homes were damaged by Hurricane Katrina.
