LAKEWOOD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--FirstBank, Colorado’s second-largest bank and third largest privately held bank in the nation, today announced the results of its annual community investment program. As of June 30, FirstBank has donated more than $2.1 million to nonprofit organizations across Colorado, Arizona and California, bringing its charitable donation total to $55 million since 2000.
FirstBank’s charitable contributions are grounded in several categories, including affordable housing, education and economic development. Their expansive giving approach benefits more than 450 nonprofits annually.

Among FirstBank’s largest community investment programs is its sponsorship of Colorado Gives Day, an annual, statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. Since its inception in 2010, Colorado Gives Day has raised more than $111 million for nearly 2,000 Colorado nonprofits, including $28.4 million in 2015. It’s recognized as one of the most successful “gives days” in the nation.
