A recent survey conducted by LosAngelesHotels.org came to this determination after comparing all beach towns in the Golden State based on the cost of lodging in each one this summer.
To stay in Pacific Beach, travelers will have to spend an average of $267 per night for the most affordable double room during the current month of August. It must be noted that the survey considered only such hotels or inns rated at least 3 stars with a coveted location close to the beach.
Only two dollars cheaper for an overnight stay is Marina del Rey. This home of the world's largest manmade small craft harbor is located in Los Angeles’s Westside. The neighboring town of Santa Monica rounds out the Top 3 podium at an average nightly rate of $259.
