SAN FRANCISCO & PASADENA, Calif.--()--CrowdOptic and Solford Industries today announced the launch of Incident Command Vision (ICV) powered by CrowdOptic Eye™, a wireless helmet camera system designed for firefighters and law enforcement personnel to stream live video from any location.

Incident Command Vision is the first solution to integrate CrowdOptic’s camera hardware and live-streaming capabilities with conventional firefighter helmets, and is both ruggedized and waterproof to withstand the extreme environments encountered by emergency response personnel.

Solford Industries will distribute the integrated helmet, leveraging its deep ties within the emergency response industries to bring advanced technologies that increase situational awareness to emergency response teams.

ICV integrates CrowdOptic Eye™ and will additionally utilize CrowdOptic’s patented algorithms to understand where members of an emergency response team are looking in common. The common focus of a team deployed at a scene can be used to coordinate other efforts, such as fire tracking and measurement or drone delivery.

“Incident Command Vision powered by CrowdOptic Eye™ will enable a city’s command center to have, for the first time, a live visual connection to what emergency responders are collectively seeing on the scene,” commented Rick Crawford, President and CEO of Solford Industries and a fire captain with 26 years of experience. “This has the potential to enhance tactical decision making and revolutionize the process by which agencies respond to emergency incidents.”

This launch follows CrowdOptic’s release of the CrowdOptic Eye™ earlier this year, the company’s first standalone hardware product for instant, professional-grade live-streaming.

The launch of Incident Command Vision also marks the first integration of CrowdOptic Eye™ with a wearable device. Leveraging its expertise in the development of live-streaming software solutions for smartglasses such as Google Glass and Sony SmartEyeglass, CrowdOptic is expanding its capabilities to provide end-to-end hardware and software solutions for key vertical markets.
