ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Adrienne Mims MD, MPH, of Alliant Health Solutions (AHS), has been selected to speak at the National Medical Association (NMA) 114th Annual Convention and Scientific Assembly, being held July 30 to August 3, 2016, in Los Angeles. Dr. Mims will present a lecture on the shifting healthcare landscape and the implementation of value-based payment modifiers, to industry leaders from across the country.
The NMA’s annual convention, themed “True North Toward Health Care Equity” for 2016, focuses on medical science, African American health and reducing racial and ethnic health care disparities. Each year, African American physicians and other health professionals convene to participate in the exchange of medical advances and to discuss health policy priorities.

Dr. Mims serves as Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for AHS’s Medicare Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization Georgia and North Carolina, Alliant Quality.
Board certified in family medicine and geriatrics, Dr. Mims has more than 30 years of primary care, consultative and home care geriatric experience. She has worked as a medical administrator for 20 years in the fields of quality measurement, health care systems design, patient education, preventive health and population research. Additionally, she is the founder, and former medical director and volunteer physician for the Center for Black Women’s Wellness Safety Net Clinic for the uninsured.
