LONDON--()--Metal Tiger plc (LON:MTR) ("Metal Tiger" or the "Company") the London Stock Exchange AIM listed investor in strategic natural resource opportunities is pleased to announce the expansion of the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) programme, including the recruitment of additional team members and notably the recruitment of a full time CSR and Environmental Sustainability Manager (“CSR Manager”) based in Thailand. Included in this global review will be a dedicated review and implementation of programs in Thailand and specifically a focus on the project areas where Metal Tiger will operate.

The new CSR Manager, a Thai national, has significant work experience in Kanchanaburi Province working with NGO’s, local communities, universities and government environmental agencies.

Further to the implementation of CSR and Environmental Sustainability programs in Thailand, responsibilities will also include overseeing all environmental related tasks associated with mining lease approvals processes for any mining project that Metal Tiger undertakes. This includes controlling the environmental elements of the Department of Primary Industry and Mines approvals process, managing the Health and Environmental Impact Assessment (HEIA) for the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning (ONEP) and communicating with key stakeholders in the project areas.

Metal Tiger is pleased to have found a candidate with significant experience in community and environmental fields with a view to creating long-term sustainable businesses that create a positive impact for all concerned.

Paul Johnson Chief Executive Officer of Metal Tiger commented: “Metal Tiger is eager to advance multiple investing opportunities but is absolutely focused on building a sustainable business where the protection of the environment and the communities where we work is the absolute first objective.

Today’s announcement signifies our seriousness in this regard with the recruitment of a CSR Manager to review and direct our CSR and environmental implementation.

It is our intention to fully publish our key CSR developments and to ensure Metal Tiger investors have the opportunity to discuss our work in this area with the Company and satisfy themselves that the Company remains focused on building a sustainable business model.

Of particular note the new CSR Manager’s experience in Thailand, and specifically in Kanchanaburi province, will prove invaluable as the Company advances its interests in Country and in that specific region.

For Thailand, as we have noted previously, Metal Tiger is keen to develop Thai resource opportunities, for the primary benefit of the Thai people, in a sustainable manner, utilising Thai nationals in technical roles and bringing international finance and complementary skills to rapidly create value for all stakeholders. It is a privilege to be able to work in Thailand and we look forward to the opportunities available for Metal Tiger.”
