Walter Raquet, Author of Government is Killing the Economy Sends Book to Every Member of Congress

NEW YORK--()--Walter Raquet, businessman and author of the book, Government is Killing the Economy, sent his common sense thoughts on finding a cure to correct the negative economic impact of regulation and government mismanagement on the U.S. economy to every member of Congress seeking their support that he sees as vital to the future of the country.

In his letter to senators and congressmen accompanying his book: Raquet asks: “Does the U.S. government lead our economy to success, or does it get in the way?” The obvious answer is in the title of his book – Government is Killing the Economy. Raquet believes that “we can and should attack the problem in two complementary ways: Establish an independent board of directors for each Cabinet Department and major agency that would identify problems and help the Department Secretary implement change; and create new protections for internal whistleblowers to eliminate the fear of coming forward to illuminate waste and inefficiencies.”

He asks members of Congress to take a leading role on the HIll and in their districts to help streamline and re-direct our bureaucracy into an economic facilitator unmatched in the world.

In an attempt to get his message across to the public, Raquet has been granting interviews to media, including talk radio shows around the country, television and has been writing OP-ED articles for newspapers. He will be embarking on a speaking tour and has sent his book to both presidential candidates in whose hands the fate of his recommendations will also lie.
