LiquidPlanner Launches New Team Resource and Project Workload Features; Offers a Data-Driven Approach to Team Management

New features enhance workload visibility, help managers identify at-risk tasks and load balance in real time

SEATTLE--()--LiquidPlanner, dynamic project management software for technology and manufacturing teams, today launched new project and resource workload updates to provide managers with the ability to visually identify and solve complex resource management issues. Project workload feature upgrades are available to all subscribers; new resource workload features are included in the LiquidPlanner Enterprise edition.

People are an organization’s most valuable resource, yet many leaders struggle to understand what their people are working on and when projects will be completed. Too often this lack of visibility leads to unrealistic expectations about deadlines, leaving individual team members feeling overburdened and frustrated. Furthermore, leaders need to quickly determine if resource allocations are aligned with organizational priorities, and make adjustments to assignments on the fly based on real-time data.

To address these issues, LiquidPlanner introduced new workload management capabilities in its most recent product release. The updates, which improve upon existing resource management functionality, will allow project leaders and functional managers to dramatically improve how they allocate work and load balance work across an entire portfolio of projects. Specifically, the updates provide customers with:

  • A new, real-time resource workload report that dynamically displays team and individual work allocation over a customizable timeframe.
  • Improved interactive project workload reports that display work remaining and overall availability for all project team members.
  • Broad design and usability updates to the Project view that makes it easier than ever to navigate to different views of data within LiquidPlanner.

“Our focus at LiquidPlanner is to help organizations work together to achieve more by leveraging the wealth of data that exists within the project management system. This can only be done if managers can accurately understand team workload and make adjustments in real-time as the needs of the business evolve,” said Jason Carlson, co-founder and CTO at LiquidPlanner. “One of the most impactful things we can give to our customers is the ability to understand what their teams are working on, who is available to take on more, who is at risk of falling behind, and how to load balance to save a stuck project. This release is designed to help managers answer these questions quickly so they can keep work flowing smoothly.”

LiquidPlanner is the only dynamic online project management software available and is the application of choice for technology and manufacturing companies looking for a better way to plan and prioritize work, manage resources and collaborate in one online solution. Built on the foundation that teams work best when they organize tasks by priority, make best/worst case estimates, and collaborate in one central location, LiquidPlanner is pioneering a dynamic approach to project management. This new approach helps teams adapt to unknowns, uncertainties, and unforeseen circumstances that are common in complex work.
