According to the complaint, the Company made false and/or misleading statements during the Class Period touting the effectiveness of the Company’s algenpantucel-L pancreatic cancer treatment. On May 9, 2016 the Company announced that the treatment failed to meet its primary endpoint and according to the Phase 3 Clinical Trial, patients treated with algenpantucel-L survived for a median of 27.3 months while patients treated with standard therapy survived 30.4 months. When this news was released NewLink’s stock price fell about 30.61%.
