Copa America Centenario Group Stage Outperforms the World Cup Group Stage on Univision Deportes

Tournament Reaches 39.4 million Total Viewers 2+ Through the End of the Group Stage

(UCI) that includes UDN, the No. 1 Spanish-language sports cable network, today announced exemplary ratings for its broadcast of the Copa America Centenario tournament to-date. Through all 24 matches of the group stage, Copa America Centenario on Univision Deportes averaged 2.6 million Total Viewers 2+ and 1.4 million Adults 18-49 per match, besting the 2014 World Cup group stage performance by +3% among Adults 18-49. Univision Deportes has reached 39.4 million Total Viewers 2+ through the Copa America Centenario group stage ending last night.

Throughout the tournament group stage, the Mexican national team matches averaged 4.9 million Total Viewers 2+ and 2.8 million Adults 18-49. The Mexican national team matches out-delivered the NHL Stanley Cup Final telecasts on all NBC networks and the Tony Awards on CBS among Adults 18-49.

The Chile versus Panama match which aired last night at 7:30pm EDT averaged 1.9 million Total Viewers 2+ and 1.0 million Adults 18-49. The Argentina versus Bolivia match which aired last night at 10:00pm EDT averaged 2.8 million Total Viewers 2+ and 1.6 million Adults 18-49.

The Copa America Centenario tournament advances to the quarterfinals beginning Thursday night with USA versus Ecuador at 9:00pm EDT on UniMás with a simulcast on UDN.
