BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wolf Kohn, chief scientist at Atigeo™, a compassionate technology company for a wiser planet, and renowned research professor at the University of Washington Department of Industrial Systems and Engineering, was selected by the White House and members of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) to present at the Smart Cities Innovation Summit in Austin, TX, this week. Kohn will present a revolutionary technology solution that addresses current challenges in effectively maintaining solar power micro-grids and normalizing power to growing city populations.
The Smart Cities Innovation Summit, June 13-15, brings together over 200 progressive cities and their respective leadership to prospect and partner with innovative technology and service providers that offer state-of-the-art solutions and best practices.
Kohn’s June 14 presentation is titled “Rule-Based Real-Time Control of Distributed Micro-Grid Systems.” The solution features a controller, driven by the Atigeo xPatterns platform, which monitors anomalies in stored power, finds patterns in past behavior and in real time, and then accurately distributes power based on the unique needs of the building(s) it supports. Kohn’s presentation is based on a white paper written by Kohn and two colleagues called “A Micro-Grid Distributed Intelligent Control and Management System.”
