Pinterest, Jobvite and Smaato Share Insights at Inaugural CloudHealth Technologies Community Forum

Conversation Leaders in the CloudHealth Connect™ Forum in San Francisco Offer Tips for Cloud Management, Discussions of Industry Trends

SAN FRANCISCO--()--CloudHealth Technologies, the leader in Cloud Service Management, has launched CloudHealth ConnectTM, a community forum, leveraging conversation leaders from Pinterest, Jobvite, Smaato and CloudHealth on topics ranging from managing and governing cloud environments at scale to optimizing cloud implementations for efficiency.

CloudHealth Technologies kicked off the community forum with a panel event, called “Secrets of Cloud Trailblazers,” in San Francisco, sponsored by Alert Logic, Datadog and CloudHealth Technologies. Future forums planned in San Francisco and other U.S. cities will host cloud trailblazers that are discussing the most relevant challenges and trends.

“Our goal for this community is to create a forum where business leaders and technologists can discuss common challenges, use cases for applications and environments and overall best practices for managing the cloud,” said Melodye Mueller, vice president of marketing and strategic alliances at CloudHealth Technologies. “The first community event was a great success. We gained valuable insights and feedback from the participants. We are looking forward to hosting other CloudHealth Connect community forums in the near future.”

Discussion topics included conversation leaders’ top tips for others facing the management of large and complex cloud environments.

“Change your thought process,” said Johan Beisser, product architect with Smaato, a provider of a mobile advertising platform for app modernization. “Don’t think about it in terms of data center or a block of resources – think of it in terms of services, in terms of needs you are trying to meet. Break away from the data center and traditional thinking.”

Nikola Obradovic, FP&A manager at Pinterest, recommended that cloud professionals “understand cloud usage analytics and trends. It’s critical that you know where you’re going, and get asset tagging under control.”

“Spend time talking with different customers who have done a migration,” added John Stuart, senior director, DevOps and Security at Jobvite, when asked about the significant migration to the cloud Jobvite underwent a few years ago. “Once I sat down and talked to other big companies that had done the migration, I learned a lot from hearing where they had failures and successes.”

CloudHealth Technologies plans to roll out additional CloudHealth Connect community forums in other U.S. cities later this year.
