Xplore Delivers More Than 110 Additional Rugged Tablets to Australian Not-for-Profit Health Services Provider

AUSTIN, Texas--()--Xplore Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ: XPLR), manufacturer of the world’s broadest range of high-quality rugged tablet computers, announced today it has secured an additional order for its Motion F5m by Xplore rugged tablet computers from a long-established not-for-profit health services provider in Australia. The healthcare provider previously deployed 188 F5m tablets in 2014 and rolled out another 113 units in September 2015. The new order will bring the total number of tablets to 301.

“Deploying Xplore’s standard Motion F5m platform has delivered optimum ROI and productivity to this healthcare client,” said Brett Gross, Director of Sales, Australia and New Zealand at Xplore Technologies. “The F5m rugged mobile tablet computer enables high-end, high-performance Emergency, Acute Care and Medication Management care in a lightweight, ergonomic package that allows users to quickly move through computation-intensive applications, while increasing overall power efficiency — and saving lives.”

From the initial pilot stage, Xplore worked with one of its technology consultant partners and the customer’s project team to understand user workflow requirements and provide demonstrations and guidance that helped the organization make the right hardware and software choices. The healthcare provider selected the Motion F5m by Xplore rugged tablet PC to serve as its standard rugged mobile device for use across multiple sites and service delivery departments, including Emergency, Acute Care, and Medication Management. Xplore rugged tablet docking stations and ReadyDocks are used at medical staff stations as a full device and power management solution.

Built for demanding environments that require robust enterprise software compatibility, the Motion F5m by Xplore rugged tablet platform offers the durability and functionality needed to seamlessly go from the office, to the vehicle, to the field, addressing the immediacy of patient data, real-time entry and better tracking of care, all while staying connected and secure. Features include 5th Gen Intel Core processors, an embedded 4G XLTE broadband option, and 802.11 ac technology for easy image and file sharing. The F5m tablet is MIL-STD-810G and IP54 tested and equipped with WinMagic® SecureDoc™ encryption software for maximum protection and security.
