BUFFALO, N.Y.--()--GEICO's Buffalo regional office associates partnered with The Buffalo News and Veterans One-Stop of Western New York to help Cradle Beach get ready for a busy camp season.

GEICO associates recently spent a day cleaning, clearing trails, splitting wood, and gardening at the Cradle Beach campgrounds. "GEICO's Buffalo team is always willing to lend a helping hand for a good cause," said Meagan Chapman, claims management development program. "Cradle Beach is well known in the community for the great support it provides for children with special needs. We are happy to be part of the effort to make the camp ready for all these youngsters."

"Since opening its doors in Buffalo more than ten years ago, GEICO has eagerly supported Cradle Beach and its mission to serve disabled and disadvantaged children of Western New York," said Rick Hoagland, regional vice president. "Each summer, nearly 800 children have the opportunity to attend the Cradle Beach enrichment camp. GEICO is excited to help make this experience possible for those deserving children."

To help expand the camp's services GEICO has pledged to donate $250,000 to build 'GEICO Lodge,' a year-round center designed to house Cradle Beach programs and participants. The GEICO Lodge addition will significantly increase the number of children the organization is able to serve.
