The pilot is a first step in bringing the features and benefits of hosting to the consumer personal finance market.
Customer demand sparked the idea for this pilot, as many Quicken users have expressed the need to access Quicken remotely, when they are away from their computer. The fully-managed hosted Quicken application can be accessed remotely via any mobile device with an internet connection.

This pilot will leverage HyperRight v5, the latest release of the proprietary virtualization technology developed by Right Networks. This technology transforms applications to allow them to run on a multi-tenant, highly-available, clustered infrastructure. HyperRight allows existing Right Networks customers to maintain productivity in the hosted environment without worrying about availability of their applications and data or required system maintenance. The same features and functionality will also be available for Hosted Quicken users.

As part of the pilot, beta testers will receive a white-glove onboarding experience to assist in moving their personal finances to the cloud. Participants can choose which edition of the latest Quicken product they want to use for the test i.e. Starter, Deluxe, Premier, Home and Business, or Rental Property Manager. Hosted Quicken will be free for the first year of the pilot, and beta testers will have access to a dedicated Quicken and Right Networks team for support during the onboarding process and the duration of the pilot.
The pilot, which soft-launched in April, is invitation-only and lets beta testers provide valuable input and feedback for the hosted Quicken offering.
