TrueCar Names Paul Edmonds to Lead Dealer Operations Efforts

Addition fortifies push to enhance dealer service and support

SANTA MONICA, Calif.--()--TrueCar, Inc. (NASDAQ: TRUE) has added automotive retail veteran Paul Edmonds as senior vice president of dealer marketing and operations to help dealers across the TrueCar Certified Dealer network gain maximum value from the service.

Edmonds comes to TrueCar from RiskIQ, an external threat Internet security company, where he built and led customer success teams. Prior to that, he spent 15 years in various roles at AutoTrader.com and Trader Publishing Company. He joins TrueCar this month amid the company’s broad expansion of dealer support and services, including the addition of at least 100 field service consultants. He will report to Executive Vice President of Dealer Sales and Service Brian Skutta.

“Paul’s deep experience serving dealers, along with his proven track record of consistently driving operational success, make him an ideal addition to TrueCar,” Skutta said. “His leadership will prove invaluable as we continue to ramp up our service and support model to better serve our dealers.”

TrueCar in March launched the “Dealer Pledge” initiative to improve benefits of the service to dealers, as the company also overhauls its platform to increase transparency for consumers who count on TrueCar when searching for new and used vehicles. In his new role Edmonds will work to bridge the gap between the company’s consumer product and its valued dealer customers.

Edmonds held account management, sales and training positions at AutoTrader.com, and executive roles including vice president of sales operations and new business initiatives. He was a divisional vice president of sales for the company prior to joining San Francisco-based RiskIQ in December 2014.
