DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The shadier side of Denver’s 300 plus days of mile-high sunshine is the increased risk of melanoma – the deadliest form of skin cancer – that area residents face. The annual rate of new melanoma diagnoses in Colorado is 15 percent higher than the national average, according to the latest statistics from the National Cancer Institute and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
