NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--At this week’s 2016 American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) Conference, GfK will have 14 speaking slots and poster presentations, on topics ranging from online election polling to mobile surveys.

The theme of the conference – which takes place May 12th to 15th in Austin, Texas – is “Reshaping the Research Landscape: Public Opinion and Data Science.”
On May 13th at 4:15PM, GfK and AP will share “Calibration of Non-Probability Samples to KnowledgePanel® for Election Polling”; the session will show how election survey tests in five states since 2014 achieved an average error versus the actual vote of 2.1 percentage points overall, correctly predicting the winners in all 13 races.
Speakers for the election polling presentation will be GfK’s Robert Benford (VP, Sampling Statistics), Randall K. Thomas (VP, Online Research Methods), Mansour Fahimi (SVP, Chief Statistician), and Frances M. Barlas (Senior Research Director).
At the conference, GfK will also present results from the DAV Veterans Pulse Survey, which GfK has been conducting on behalf of the Disabled American Veteran (DAV).
