Arizona Polymer Flooring Announces New Sales Representative for Mid-Atlantic Region, Production Manager

Two professionals bring more than four decades of combined experience handling high-profile projects to manufacturer of concrete coatings and flooring systems

GLENDALE, Ariz.--()--Arizona Polymer Flooring (APF), a manufacturer of high-performance flooring products and concrete coating systems, announced Paul Scheidmantel has joined the company as a sales representative for the mid-Atlantic region and Tim Almond has come on board as production manager.

An industry veteran whose career spans nearly two decades, Scheidmantel will be responsible for making product and system recommendations, and developing relationships with contractors, architects and end users across Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, District of Columbia, Delaware and New Jersey.

With a 25-year career in the decorative concrete flooring and manufacturing, Almond will be overseeing production, with a specific focus on safety, and environmental and hazardous waste management.

“Paul’s knowledge of industrial coatings, concrete restoration, moisture vapor mitigation, decorative concrete, floor leveling and waterproofing is unmatched in the industry and the reason he was tapped to consult on numerous high-profile government projects,” said APF CEO Daniel Owen. “Tim knows the flooring and manufacturing industry inside-out, and we saw his experience and attention to detail as vital to ensuring APF’s high standards are met consistently as we poise ourselves for the future.”

Scheidmantel has been a go-to consultant on some of the highest-profile projects in the United States, including consulting on a high security service aircraft hangar at Andrews AFB for Air Force One. As well, his knowledge was called upon in 2001 for the Pentagon Phoenix Project, which saw him lending his expertise to conduct 35,000 sq.ft. in floor repairs to the ground level slab at the Pentagon after 9/11.

Scheidmantel earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Marketing and Sales Management, from Robert Morris University in Pennsylvania. He currently holds a license in Koster VAP Moisture Remediation and had been named Tennant Coatings Specialist of the Year in 2012. He is also a member of the South Central Architectural, Engineering and Construction (AEC) Group’s Central Pennsylvania Architect and Engineer Network.

Almond is an industry veteran whose career has delved deep into the concrete, flooring or manufacturing sectors. Most recently, he was production and operations manager at Xcel Surfaces, which focuses on the decorative concrete market. Prior to that, he honed his knowledge in the pool construction industry for more than 16 years, where he meticulously managed projects from inception to completion, including the all-important surface sealing and coating process. As well, he spent nearly a decade in the manufacturing sector.

Almond holds more than 30 Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certifications. He earned an associate degree in Network Administration. As a strong proponent of education, he spends his free time volunteering for community school fundraising programs.
