Brandt Embraces Modern Collaboration, Saving Nearly $400,000 a Year with Dropbox Business

Texas-based mechanical services firm to achieve 300 percent return on investment in third year of Dropbox Business deployment

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Today, Dropbox announced that Brandt, the largest mechanical, electrical and plumbing services company in the state of Texas, has selected Dropbox Business to help the company drive business process transformation. Dropbox Business is helping Brandt improve customer service, while saving the company nearly $400,000 a year by enabling secure, mobile collaboration and improving business workflows in the cloud.

“We were looking for a solution that would help us modernize our workflows and improve efficiencies for our customers,” said Steve Hayes, SVP, Brandt. “We evaluated several options and we found the best solution for us to be Dropbox Business. To quickly realize savings in just the first year of our Dropbox deployment, and to be able to calculate a 300 percent ROI by the third year of our deployment, was totally beyond our expectations.”

Founded in 1952, Brandt started out as a small Dallas-based air conditioning company. More than six decades later, Brandt expanded its service offering include offices in all of the major Texas cities and over $400 million in annual revenues. Looking to simplify and modernize the communication between its field technicians and the front office, Brandt uses Dropbox Business to enable secure, mobile collaboration on service call-related documents in real-time on mobile devices. As a result, the company has dramatically reduced the time it takes to process work orders .

Previously, the company relied on a physical filing system where technicians would be forced to spend valuable customer time filling out paperwork and then faxing or e-mailing the forms back to their supervisors and service coordinator at the office.

With Dropbox Business, Brandt’s supervisors and office staff are able to use shared folders to assign projects and access and approve invoices in just minutes versus the previous average of two to four weeks with the paper-based process. Using Dropbox Business technicians are more efficient and customers are getting their needs met faster — shaving administrative time off every service call and generating a return of hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.
