Louisburg College Selects New Unit4 Student Management to Deliver Next-Gen Student Experience

  • 15-year customer affirms benefits of new student success solution
  • Unit4 Student Management “touch-first” philosophy appeals to forward-looking institution
  • CIO cites cost savings, increased security and accessibility as key factors in decision

ST. LOUIS--()--Unit4, a fast growing leader in enterprise applications for service organizations, today announced Louisburg College, has signed a contract for its new Unit4 Student Management software solution. Citing increased productivity and consumer-grade user experience, Louisburg looks forward to strengthening its overall operations and student success.

“Unit4 Education Solutions (formerly Three Rivers Systems) has been our trusted software vendor for 15 years. We have been anxiously awaiting this next-generation student information system,” says Mark Joyner, CIO of Louisburg College. “Given the fact that Student Management can dramatically improve the operations of an institution, we were able to secure a Title III Strengthening Institutions Grant to help pay for the new system. We are looking at this strategic project as a way to strengthen our academic curriculum, improve student support services and upgrade our technology.”

Unit4 Student Management is based on a “touch-first” philosophy, meaning all functions were developed to be mobile accessible, then built out to fit desktop use as well. As a result, students can interact with the college – send applications, access student records, pay tuition, communicate with the college and more – completely via their preferred device, smartphones. And while back office users typically employ desktop systems, college staff could just as easily work on tablets.

“Louisburg College will benefit from the agility offered by this upgrade. Student Management will help to improve Louisburg’s operations and help them transform their organization to operate at the next level,” says Amir Tajkarimi, SVP Global Education at Unit4. “Student Management is also browser agnostic, making it much more accessible to internal and external users. So they get the security and flexibility of a true cloud-based product while having the flexibility to meet their users’ needs.”
