Trustmark, Ward Services and KeenanSuggs Donate $10,000 to Area Cooperative to Protect Poverty-Stricken Families in South Carolina

LAKE FOREST, Ill.--()--Trustmark Voluntary Benefit Solutions, a long-standing national voluntary benefits carrier, donates $10,000 every year to its top producer’s charity of choice. This year, Ward Services and KeenanSuggs were the recipients, and they directed their entire donation to The Cooperative Ministry (TCM) in Columbia, S.C.

TCM focuses on providing short-term crisis assistance with long-term goals of providing sustainability and increased independence for individuals and families.

The check was presented late last month at Trustmark’s 21st annual producer conference in Chicago.

TCM’s vision is: working hard for the working poor. “There are so many in our community who are in need of assistance in meeting the needs of daily living. We are honored to be able to donate to an organization such as this,” said Tommy Suggs, CEO, KeenanSuggs.

TCM provided tremendous relief during the massive flooding that took place last fall in S.C. Jeff Muir, COO, Ward Services said, “We were truly moved by their efforts. TCM showed the best part of South Carolinians. They rally to help fellow citizens in need. It showed people can be the difference.”

TCM, headquartered in Columbia, S.C., has grown to partner with more than 120 agencies, numerous civic and social organizations, foundations and businesses to provide service to those in need.
