PAR Brink POS Cloud Solution Featured in PC Magazine Review on POS Software for Restaurant Industry

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y.--()--PAR Technology Corporation (NYSE:PAR), a leading global provider of point-of-sale (POS) solutions to the restaurant industry, and its cloud-based Brink POS software are featured in an article in PC Magazine, “The Best Point-of-Sale Software of 2016.” The article reviews seven POS software solutions for the restaurant industry and features input from software users.

In the article, Brink customers provide feedback on their experiences with the system, including how working within the cloud has many benefits for restaurant chains with any number of locations.

Steve Teller, director of retail technology at Five Guys Burgers and Fries, a 1,300-store fast casual chain, describes how the PAR Brink solution and the cloud simplify set up and operations in all locations. “The big issue with our other system was that it required a server on-site. Now, we just have our POS terminals, a network switch and a printer. Also, we don’t have to physically touch every store for changes. For example, for online ordering, we had to have a software agent on each workstation. Now that’s all done in the cloud.”

Susan Daggett, president of the 19-location, Denver-based Smiling Moose Rocky Mountain Deli, also sees the benefits of the cloud when it comes to growth. “We were looking to partner with a POS provider who could support an aggressive franchiser. Our plan is to have 100 delis by 2020. PAR Brink POS provided a cloud-based solution, optimized for scalability, without the need for a back-office server. It was good support for multi-unit restaurants and it really improves operational access to information, plus we can access it remotely. It provides us with real-time access to info, which delivers much better and more useful insights.”

The PAR Brink POS software solution leverages cloud-based technology to provide restaurant operators a rich POS platform that helps improve both restaurant operations and guest experiences.
