NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Alliant Insurance Services, the nation’s largest specialty insurance brokerage firm, has announced that Michael Heffernan has joined its Construction Services Group as Executive Vice President. Heffernan will have responsibility for the Alliant construction operations in San Jose, CA.

Heffernan has over 25 years of risk management experience as an established risk advisory partner for construction and real estate clients, as well as extensive experience with the development and implementation of wrap-up programs for both owners and general contractors. Heffernan will manage all risk advisory activities associated with key accounts.
Prior to joining Alliant, Heffernan was an Executive Vice President at a global retail broker and was tasked with managing their Northern California region, along with broader responsibilities in the western states and national operations.
Heffernan holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Arizona State University and earned an Executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Heffernan also holds numerous professional designations and has been recognized as a Power Broker by Risk & Insurance Magazine on multiple occasions.
Heffernan will be based in the San Jose office of Alliant.
