ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Atlantic Capital Bancshares, Inc. (“Atlantic Capital”) has named veteran mortgage professional Steven Alexander as Director of Mortgage for the Atlanta Region. Alexander most recently served as Managing Director of Mortgage for Iberia Bank Mortgage, formally known as Georgia Commerce Bank. He expanded the mortgage division in the Atlanta market. Prior to that position, he led the formation of Private Mortgage Services, a dedicated mortgage solutions unit of the Private Bank of Buckhead. Alexander brings over 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry to Atlantic Capital.
As Director of Mortgage at Atlantic Capital, Alexander will lead the company’s transformative growth by leveraging his extensive experience within the mortgage finance industry.

Alexander was the founder and principal of National Guaranty Mortgage Corporation from 1995 until 2010. He currently serves on the board of the Georgia Association of Mortgage Broker (GAMB) and was named “Broker of the Year” in 2009 by GAMB. Alexander is also a former president of GAMB. He earned a degree in Economics from Hampden-Sydney College.
Alexander has served on various committees for the Atlanta Speech School and Woodward Academy. He is a graduate of the Leadership Atlanta Class of 2010 and is an active member in Buckhead Rotary, Fernbank Museum of History, the Atlanta History Center and the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. He and his wife have two children and reside in Buckhead.
