AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nurture My Child today announced it has acquired the assets of Camp Sloop, the leading resource for families to find camps and classes in Austin and surrounding areas. The Camp Sloop business and database will now be integrated into the operations of Nurture My Child.
This is a natural transition for the Camp Sloop business, as Nurture My Child Founder and CEO Rebecca Cole has been a partner in the company since its creation in 2012.
For the past eight years, Nurture My Child’s mission has been to educate parents on childcare and education options available to their children and take the stress out of finding the right solutions for their family. The acquisition of Camp Sloop allows the company to expand upon this goal by providing families with a single site to find all of their child’s needs—from camps to classes, childcare to private schools. This announcement is just the beginning of more offerings to come in 2016.

The Camp Sloop integration on the Nurture My Child website works by allowing parents to search for camps in a way that is easier and more reliable than combing through publications or doing web searches. Nurture My Child’s camp database is updated consistently and is the only place where a large majority of camps in Austin and the surrounding areas are listed and families can search by multiple criteria like camp activities, schedule, location, ages, etc.
Nurture My Child will host the annual Austin Summer Camp Fair in February, previously coordinated by Camp Sloop. The free Austin Summer Camp Fair brings Austin-area camps under one roof to make it easy for families to visit with each camp and make the best, educated decision on where to send their children for the summer.
