PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--WebPT — the leading web-based electronic medical record (EMR) solution for physical, occupational and speech therapists — today announced it plans to move into a 120,000-square-foot tech campus in the Phoenix Warehouse District. WebPT’s portion of the new building will accommodate up to 500 employees.
The move adds to the city’s growing reputation as a tech hub. Thanks in part to its cost-effective business environment and comparably low operating costs, the Valley of the Sun is an attractive location for growing tech companies that cannot afford Silicon Valley overhead.

The Phoenix Warehouse District has undergone a major revitalization in recent years, drawing many companies, schools and other organizations to the area.

WebPT has been a pillar of Phoenix’s tech innovation movement since 2008, when Heidi Jannenga and her husband, Brad Jannenga, launched the software company in the back of a downtown coffee shop. Since then, WebPT, a three-time Inc. 5000 honoree, has hired more than 250 employees and outgrown two Warehouse District office locations.

The building formerly housed a produce distribution company. Following extensive renovations — including construction of an amphitheater, recording studio, restaurant and coffee shop — the space is expected to be move-in-ready by September 2016.
