3dcart Releases Record Breaking Cyber Monday 2015 Statistics

3dcart, a leading eCommerce platform, today announced their final numbers for Cyber Monday 2015

TAMARAC, Fla.--()--According to Adobe’s Digital Index, November 30th, 2015 marked the largest online shopping day in U.S. history, with more than $3.09 billion spent online. This marks a 16 percent increase from 2014, with the final reported figure surpassing experts’ forecasted number by 3.2 percent.

3dcart’s final totals are based on 12,200 U.S. online stores from the 17,000+ merchants that are powered by their platform. Websites experienced a record-breaking amount of traffic and sales during the one-day shopping extravaganza.

The South Florida-based company released the following Cyber Monday 2015 details for their clients’ sales. Merchants received a total of 30,500,000 visitors, with an average conversion rate of 2.41%. Approximately 756,400 orders were processed for the 12,200 retailers on the 3dcart platform, totaling to $42,955,956.00. Furthermore, 3,782,000 total units were sold, with an average Order Value of $56.79.

These impressive figures mark a 12% increase year-over-year for 3dcart merchants. In addition, mobile accounted for an impressive 23% of online sales – just shy of the nation’s 26 percent ($799 million), a figure the company contributes to their persistent and earnest push for client adoption of mobile-friendly, responsive technology.

With the day’s incredible spike in traffic, countless businesses, including large retailers like Target.com, experienced capacity and availability challenges handling the day’s load. 3dcart, an eCommerce industry veteran of more than 18 years, took proactive measures to ensure their SMB clients’ success. Their team of server administrators and support staff worked round-the-clock to provide its merchants with an unparalleled level of service during the holiday season’s most hectic day – providing averages of 99.98% for uptime and 392ms for load time across their entire network

“The results from 2015’s Cyber Monday set a new record for eCommerce sales and bigger retailer expectations for their eCommerce providers for 2016,” said 3dcart’s COO Jimmy Rodriguez. “A reliable and scalable platform to accommodate higher traffic and sales, optimized for mobile traffic, which follows Payment Card Industry standards for security, are a necessity for any retailer to succeed online.”
