Ms. Robinson’s appointment was announced this afternoon by Governor-elect Edwards during a press conference in Baton Rouge. She has been serving as a member of the Governor-elect’s Transition Team for Finance.

“Kim has been a tremendous asset to Jones Walker. While we will all miss her terribly, we could not be more proud of her being tapped for this role to serve the state of Louisiana,” said Bill Hines, Managing Partner of the firm.

“Kim will be a great Secretary of Revenue,” said Bill Backstrom, leader of the firm’s Tax & Estates Practice Group. “Her experience both in public service and at Jones Walker will help Kim lead the Department in the coming years. We will miss Kim and we look forward to working with her as she assumes her new position.”
