DES MOINES, Iowa--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AmeriHealth Caritas Iowa, a Medicaid managed care health plan that will serve Iowa Medicaid beneficiaries as part of the state’s new IA Health Link program beginning January 2016, is helping Iowa’s health care providers learn more about Medicaid managed care and the benefits available to them. Provider informational sessions will be held throughout the month of December in anticipation of the January 1, 2016 launch of IA Health Link.

The sessions will be held in the following cities:
- Council Bluffs: Wednesday, December 2 and Tuesday, December 15.*
- Coralville: Thursday, December 3.
- Cedar Rapids: Friday, December 4 and Thursday, December 17.*
- Davenport: Wednesday, December 9 and Friday, December 11.*
- Waterloo: Thursday, December 10.
- Altoona: Monday, December 14.*
- West Des Moines: Wednesday, December 16 and Thursday, December 17.
*Denotes provider information sessions featuring a joint presentation from all of the managed care organizations on December 11, 14, 15 and 17 (Cedar Rapids only).
