SANTA FE, N.M.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Seamless Medical Systems®, a digital healthcare company focused on transforming the patient registration and engagement processes in retail medical clinics, urgent care centers and health systems, has closed on a $2.5 million capital round led by Sun Mountain Capital and New England Development Investments.
The Seamless Patient Engagement Platform™ is a software as a service that automates patient registration and captures patient data for integration with electronic medical records. The Seamless Paperless Patient Intake solution is currently deployed in 25 states, has logged over 1 million patient encounters and has increased front office productivity of Seamless Medical’s clients by 20 percent or more.
With the new funding round, coupled with healthcare providers’ growing recognition of the advantages of automating the patient registration process, Seamless Medical CEO and Founder David Perez expects the company to triple in size in 2016.

The Seamless experience uses iPads to replace paper forms patients must complete, reducing registration time from 30 minutes to 10 or less. Data from Seamless flows into the provider’s EMR system, eliminating manual data entry, paper, printing, shredding and filing. This process saves time, reduces costs and waste, and delivers more accurate data, resulting in fewer errors and denied insurance claims.
In January, Seamless Medical received $750,000 from The Kresge Foundation and California Healthcare as part of a Partnering for Impact Initiative. The investment supports the rollout of the Seamless solution to Federally Qualified Health Clinics and safety net providers nationwide.
