AODocs Becomes “Recommended for Google Apps for Work” Solution Providing Enterprise-Grade Document Management Features on Google Drive

SAN FRANCISCO--()--AODocs, an enterprise document management solution for Google Drive, today announced it joins the Google for Work Partner Program as one of the first solutions to be “Recommended for Google Apps for Work.” As part of the program, Google will recommend AODocs to new and existing enterprise customers, and on the Google Apps Marketplace.

“More than one million businesses have adopted Google Drive as their primary storage and collaboration platform for their business documents,” said Rahul Sood, Managing Director, Google Apps for Work. “AODocs can help these businesses address their document management requirements, from department level collaboration to complex business applications.”

“AODocs was born from the idea that you can meet enterprise document control and security requirements without sacrificing the user experience,” said Stéphane Donzé, CEO of AODocs. “AODocs uniquely combines Google Drive’s collaboration capabilities with the centralized control and organization features that enterprise customers need to comply with regulation and industry standards, manage their documents with metadata and workflows and automate their business processes, without leaving the familiar Drive interface.”

Entirely built on Google Cloud Platform, AODocs retains the robustness, scalability and security of Google’s own infrastructure.

AODocs includes migration connectors for legacy document management systems such as Sharepoint, Lotus Notes, Lotus Quickr, OpenText LiveLink / Content Server, EMC eRoom and file servers. These connectors make it easy for AODocs customers to import their legacy content into AODocs, and to replace their expensive on-premise servers with Google Drive’s secure and cost-effective storage, while preserving the existing metadata, permissions and version history of their documents.

The “Recommended for Google Apps for Work” label also comes with a product security validation. “In a multi-tenant application like AODocs, security is absolutely critical,” said Clément Denis, CTO of AODocs. “The Google Apps team has conducted a comprehensive assessment of AODocs’ security policies, including application penetration testing, and has found it to meet all the required criteria of a robust web solution.”

AODocs is used by hundreds of customers in 75 countries, and has more than 1,250,000 installed users. For example, Whirlpool Corporation has chosen AODocs to sit on top of Google Drive to organize business critical documents, including HR files, and manage corporate retention policies. “Our customers add more than 100,000 documents per day to our system,” continues Denis. “Thanks to Google App Engine’s automatic scalability, we have the ability to accommodate a hundred times more users.”
