NEUILLY-SUR-SEINE, France--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Regulatory News:
M6 Métropole Télévision (Paris:MMT):
The M6 and TF1 groups note the selection of HD DTT candidates made by the Conseil Supérieur de l’Audiovisuel (CSA) which, taking into account the priority reservation requests, meant that the joint project concerning a new television service as part of the free French DTT offer was not successful.
On this occasion, both groups would like to recall the aspects which, for them, make this an innovative project. Firstly, viewers would be provided with an unparalleled service that is the first of its kind in France. Secondly, this project would enable French SMEs to demonstrate their expertise to all. Thirdly, it would generate hundreds of jobs. This application is also advantageous as it does not draw on the resources of the advertising market.
Telesales channels have encountered much success on DTT elsewhere in Europe. The TF1 and M6 groups are convinced that this project is extremely relevant for the future.
