Apriva’s MESA VPN Gateway Successfully Completes NIAP Common Criteria Evaluation

VPN Gateway Certification further enhances Apriva’s Secret and Top Secret CSfC Mobility Infrastructure solutions

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--()--Apriva, the leading provider of secure end-to-end wireless transaction and information solutions, today announced that their MESA VPN Gateway has successfully completed National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) Common Criteria Evaluation.

This program, administered by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the National Security Agency (NSA), oversees the evaluation of commercial IT products for use within National Security Systems.

The Apriva VPN Gateway was added to the NSA/Central Security Service’s (CSS) Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) Approved Products List in 2014. The NIAP certification, coupled with CSfC extensions, allows those who are implementing CSfC approaches for mobility to utilize the Apriva VPN Gateway as part of a composed, layered solution, enabling the protection of classified voice and data communications.

“This is a key component to help government agencies deploy a Secret or Top Secret mobility infrastructure, and greatly enhances the ability for CSfC Trusted Integrators to quickly implement CSfC-compliant gateway solutions,” said Jeff Ford, Chief Operating Officer at Apriva. “The MESA VPN Gateway forms the foundation of a high-assurance mobile device landing zone, allowing a fast and cost-effective approach to implementing a CSfC solution in either an enterprise or tactical application.”

The Apriva VPN Gateway is already deployed within the United States Department of Defense (DoD) as part of the Defense Information Systems Agency’s (DISA) DoD Mobility Classified Capability (DMCC) program and has run under an Authority to Operate (ATO) since May 2015.
