Research and Markets: UK Digital Broadcasting Market Update 2015

DUBLIN--()--Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/2cp8xz/uk_digital) has announced the addition of the "UK Digital Broadcasting Market Update 2015" report to their offering.

This market update analyses the UK digital broadcasting market, examining key trends within both the television and radio sectors, and in various markets for consumer electronics used to access digital broadcasts.

In October 2012, the UK completed its digital switchover, following a gradual region-by-region process started in October 2007. As such, all television content is now broadcast digitally, either through a digital terrestrial television (DTT) signal, or via digital satellite or digital cable, and online.

The Government also plans to eventually cease analogue transmissions in the radio market in favour of digital. However, the Government has yet to set a date relating to the implementation of a digital switchover plan, determining in 2010 that the switch-over should be consumer led, depending upon the uptake of digital platforms, and on certain market conditions, such as digital coverage.
