GARDENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Carroll Shelby International (CSBI:PK) honored Shelby American’s ’65 FIA World Championship racing team during a recreation press conference at the UK’s Goodwood Revival, which included a once-in-a-lifetime display of the six original Daytona Coupes that brought home the United States’ only FIA World Championship. The press conference was produced by Shelby executives, which included Aaron Shelby acting as his grandfather Carroll, and the Goodwood theatrical company playing other team members. The production included speeches, a Q&A and was followed by an autograph session with original team members.

During the 1965 FIA World Championship season, Bondurant won seven of his 10 races to score the win for Shelby American over the previously dominant Ferrari effort; it is still the only American team to do so. After capturing the title for Shelby, Ferrari invited Bondurant to be one of their Formula 1 drivers.
