PerfectServe Announces New Fall Thought Leadership Webinar Series

Upcoming webinars address the importance of care coordination and clinical communication

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.--()--Today, PerfectServe – healthcare’s only comprehensive and secure communication and collaboration platform – announced three upcoming webinars as part of its ongoing series featuring insight from prominent experts in the healthcare industry. The complimentary webinars cover important regulatory and care delivery topics, including clinical communications and workflow, HIPAA compliance and patient safety, and provide advice and tools that providers can use within their hospital, health system or medical practice.

“We are excited to continue this impactful webinar series through the end of the year,” said Terry Edwards, president and CEO of PerfectServe. “It has proven to be a successful way for customers, executives and industry experts to engage with one another to learn about new ways to improve efficiencies and quality of care, as well as promote effective communications within health systems.”

On Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. ET, the fall series will start with an interactive webinar titled “Coordination of care: A caregiver’s perspective.” During this session, Deborah L. Dokken, family advocate and consultant at the Institute for Patient- and Family-Centered Care, will draw on her personal story as a caregiver to provide strategies to help clinicians improve communications and coordinate care through patient transitions. Dokken will provide resources to help clinicians build effective partnerships with patients and caregivers, identify strategies for putting patients and their families in the driver’s seat, and support empathetic, integrated care. More details on the webinar and registration can be found here.

Later in the month, on September 24, 2015 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. ET, Scott Raymond, executive director of information services at Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center, and Terry Edwards, will expand upon keys to achieving successful population health management and best practices for seamless communication between clinicians in different care settings to improve patient care and outcomes.
