DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Seed Labs, an IoT company which created the Silvair environment empowering manufacturers to build smart lighting products, is pleased to announce a partnership with Obay Technologies, Inc. Obay is a Dallas-based company specializing in automated window coverings. Together, the partners have implemented software technologies into a new family of smart blinds and shades, as well as other smart home solutions. Obay is cooperating with the industry-leading group BTX Intelligent Fashion, LLC to bring these new exciting products to market under the brand name “Obay”.
The collaboration leverages Seed Labs’ proprietary Silvair technology and BTX’s expertise in window covering automation to let end users control their blinds and shades with exceptional comfort and flexibility. This new family of smart solutions will be showcased for the very first time during the interior design expo and conference event, the MetroCon ’15. To be held in Dallas, August 13 & 14.
As the latest addition to the Silvair ecosystem, Obay window covering products can communicate and operate with other Silvair enabled devices.

Apart from smart window coverings, the Obay brand will also cover an array of in-wall modules that can be easily installed inside electrical gang boxes in order to “smarten” traditional power sockets or light switches. Seamless connectivity and interoperability of all these smart devices is enabled by low-power, high-performance Silvair modules utilizing Bluetooth® Smart technology. The mesh networking capability developed by Seed Labs allows for setting up groups of Obay products that can be controlled with a single physical switch, such as the fully configurable and wireless Silvair Control, or a software switch in a dedicated smart phone app.
