Ford reappointed to technology council board

TYSONS, Va.--()--LMI president and CEO Nelson Ford was elected earlier this month by the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) to a second three-year term on its board of directors.

“Nelson’s leadership and experience in government and industry is of immense value to our board and the region,” said Bobbie Kilberg, NVTC’s president and CEO.

Ford’s executive experience with enterprise-level information technology spans more than three decades, and includes expertise with healthcare and financial management systems.

“LMI is best known for logistics management, but our IT-related consulting surpassed $80 million last year,” said Bill Brydges, chief technology officer for the government consulting not-for-profit, which had $246 million of revenue in fiscal year 2014. “Enterprise architecture stands out as a real growth area for us, but program and IT leaders across government, who are seeking to align, protect, and transform IT, are increasingly finding us and seeing results,” Brydges added.

In 2011, Ford was named by Washingtonian Magazine as one of the area’s “Tech Titans.”

In NVTC’s recently published CEO Insights interview series, Ford speaks about the transformation he’s seen in technology, and what it means for both the public and private sectors.
