CONCORD, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fortiline Waterworks (Fortiline), one of the largest waterworks distributors in the United States, announced today that effective August 1, 2015, Mike Swedick has been promoted to President of the company.
Swedick currently serves as Fortiline’s Chief Operating Officer, a position he has held since January of 2014 and which he will retain. Tim Tysinger, Fortiline co-founder and current President and Chief Executive Officer, will continue to serve as the company’s CEO.
As President, Swedick will manage all Fortiline’s functional departments on a day-to-day basis.
“Mike has an elevated understanding of business and process management and has used that knowledge to help develop the strategic planning process that we use to operate our business,” said Tysinger. “He has been instrumental in identifying and negotiating our recent acquisitions and has helped create important employee development initiatives so we can attract and retain the best in our business. Swedick joined Fortiline in 2011. Previously, he spent nearly 20 years in sales and leadership positions at Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc., a leading manufacturer of HDPE polyethylene drainage pipe products.
