Meggitt Training Systems Demonstrates Simulation and Live Fire Systems at CACP

SUWANEE, Ga.--()--At this year’s 110th annual Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) Conference, Meggitt Training Systems will showcase the FATS® L7 virtual system, innovative BlueFire® wireless weapon simulators, and live fire range products for a comprehensive weapons training solution.

“Meggitt Training Systems has a 25-year partnership with Canada’s law enforcement community and its training programs,” said Andrea Czop, president, Meggitt Training Systems, Quebec. “Meggitt’s live fire and virtual training products are designed in partnership with our customers, ensuring the systems fulfill existing and future training needs.”

Meggitt will demonstrate how marksmanship and scenario-based simulation exercises are successfully blended with live fire training. The combination of virtual and live fire instruction provides time and cost savings and improved operational performance, preparing officers for potentially lethal situations in a non-lethal training environment.

Presentation of the FATS L7 system at CACP will include both marksmanship training and video training modes to showcase a multi-tiered instructional program. The marksmanship training ranges from basic to advanced, while judgmental training enhances the officer’s understanding of shoot/don’t shoot situations and the corresponding decision making process. The system also features collective training of multiple officers simultaneously, allowing them to practice together as a team.

Along with the FATS L7 system, Meggitt Training Systems will demonstrate BlueFire wireless weapon simulators at the show. The fully-sensored weapons provide the highest level of realism in simulation by maintaining form, fit and function while allowing tetherless freedom of motion within a training space.

A variety of Meggitt’s live fire products, such as the XWT GEN3 wireless target carrier, the GranTrap™ rubber bullet trap and the LE5000 steel escalator bullet trap, will also be on display.

Demonstrations will be held throughout the day at booth #706 or by appointment at http://meggitttradeshows.com/cacp.aspx.

August 16-19; Québec City Convention Centre, Quebec City, Quebec
