William Hill Estate Winery and PGA TOUR Forge New Marketing Relationship

William Hill Estate Winery Becomes “Official Wine” of the PGA TOUR

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla., & NAPA, Calif.--()--The PGA TOUR and William Hill Estate Winery (William Hill) announced today a new multi-year marketing relationship that designates William Hill Estate Winery as the “Official Wine of the PGA TOUR, Champions Tour and Web.com Tour” in North America. Located in the Napa Valley, William Hill is owned by the E&J Gallo Winery and is a purveyor of luxury Chardonnay and other sought-after varietals crafted from California’s premier coastal regions.

The agreement runs through 2018. As part of the PGA TOUR’s Official Marketing Partner program, William Hill plans to bring the collaboration to life through engaging consumer promotional displays at retail and localized tournament support. William Hill’s PGA TOUR activations will include on-site wine bars with interactive displays, sampling opportunities and other premium branded activations.

William Hill Estate wines will also be featured at premier clubs within the PGA TOUR’s Tournament Players Club (TPC) Network.

“The demographics of our fan base represent an ideal fit for William Hill’s upscale wine offerings, as do the members and guests of our TPCs,” said Tom Wade, Chief Commercial Officer of the PGA TOUR. “We see a very strong alignment between our brands and are excited to have a chance to work together on programs for retail, our tournaments and TPCs that will help support the strong growth trajectory of William Hill.”

With roots deeply anchored in the Napa Valley, William Hill Estate crafts acclaimed wines from the undiscovered vineyards of California’s most celebrated regions. Beginning with William Hill Estate’s 140-acre benchland vineyard near the Silverado Trail, Winemaker Mark Williams turns to the hidden corners of southern Napa as well as California’s celebrated North and Central Coasts to create a unique collection of rich, expressive wines.

The relationship brings Napa Valley closer to home for PGA TOUR fans. “For the first time, PGA TOUR visitors will be able to have an authentic Napa Valley William Hill Estate experience in their home states, all while sitting alongside some of the best golf courses in the United States and watching the best golfers in the world,” said Rich Kranzmann, Vice President and General Manager of Gallo’s Premium Wine Division, of the collaboration.

“We are looking forward to what’s ahead.”
